Essay on guru purnima.
On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, I pay my respects to all the gurus of the world. The importance of Guru has been given a high position by all our saints, sages and great personalities. In culture, 'Gu' means darkness (ignorance) and 'Ru' means light (knowledge). The Guru leads us from the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge.
Every year, Ashada Shukla Purnima, the festival of Guru Purnima is celebrated all over India. People of Hindu, Buddhist and Jain religion celebrate this festival in their own ways by fasting, worshiping, etc. in honor of their Guru on this day.
Maharishi Ved Vyas, the author of the Vedas, Upanishads and Puranas, born on this day 3000 BC, is considered the Guru of all mankind and his birthday is celebrated as Guru Poornima. It is also believed that on this day, Lord Gautam Buddha gave his first sermon at Sarnath for the first time. Apart from this, according to the Yoga tradition, on this day, Lord Shiva gave the knowledge of yoga to the Saptarishis and became the first Guru.
Our parents are the first gurus of our lives. Those who nurture us, for the first time in the worldly world, teach us to speak, walk and get started. Therefore, the place of parents is Sarvopari. We need a guru to keep the development of life going smoothly. Future life is created by the Guru only.
The Guru has a special contribution in removing the poison in the human mind. Maharishi Valmiki, whose previous name was 'Ratnakar'. He used to do dasyukram to nurture his family. Maharishi Valmiki ji composed an epic like Ramayana, this was possible only when Guru Rupi Narada ji changed his heart. Friends, we have all read or heard the stories of Panchatantra. How did the skillful guru Vishnu Sharma make the three ignorant sons of King Amarshakti knowledgeable through stories and other means.
The relationship of a Guru disciple is similar to a bridge. The path of the disciple's goal is made easier by the grace of the Guru.
Swami Vivekananda had a desire to attain the divine from childhood. His wish was fulfilled only when he received the blessings of Guru Paramahamsa. It was only by the grace of the Guru that I was able to interview myself.
The influence of his Guru Samarth Guru Ramdas was always on Chhatrapati Shivaji.
A word or image of a Guru can transform a human being. Friends, it is necessary to clarify the dedication of Kabir Das to his Guru because the importance of Guru can be seen most in Kabir Das's couplets.
Once Ramanand ji was going to the Ganges bath, while descending the stairs, his foot fell on Kabir Das ji's body. The word 'Ram-Ram' came out of Ramanand Ji's mouth. Kabir Das accepted the same word as Diksha Mantra and accepted Ramanand Ji as his Guru. In the words of Kabir Das Ji- 'We appeared in Kasi, Ramanand warns'. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the importance of Guru in life has been described by Kabir Das ji with complete self-determination in his couplets.
Guru's place is superior to God. Stabha gurus are the basis of our civilized social life. There have been many gurus who educated their disciples in such a way that their disciples changed the course of the nation.
Acharya Chanakya was such a great personality who changed the course of Indian history on the strength of his scholarship and abilities. Guru Chanakya is world renowned as a skilled politician and a prolific economist. He introduced his illustrious talent to his valiant disciple Chandragupta Maurya by raising him to the position of ruler.
Guru makes us able to live a decent life without hurting our inner mind. The way of seeing the world is found by the grace of the Guru. Guru Mahima, which has been in existence since ancient times, cannot be written in words. Saint Kabir also says that -
All the land should be paper, the writing is all vanaraj.
The seven seas should be written, Guru Gunn should not be written.
On the festival of Guru Purnima, there is an attempt to remember only his Guru. To tell the glory of the Guru is like showing the lamp to the sun. May we all have the grace of the Guru. Finally, Kabir breaks his pen with Das's following couplet.
This body is poison's bellary, Guru Amrit's mine.
Sheesh Diyo who gets a Guru, even if he is cheap.
